Numerous users have requested availability of the PicLan Terminal Emulator
for use with non-PicLan host systems running TELNET over TCP/IP. The PLTW and

Licensing
The TELNET functions of the PicLan Terminal Emulator are licensed as an
added-cost option. You can license the PicLan Terminal Emulator TELNET
functions either in conjunction with a PicLan IPX server license or stand-alone.
Host Platforms
The PicLan Terminal Emulator TELNET functions are targetted toward host
platforms running MultiValue database environments in conjunction with
Unix and Windows NT hosts. You can also use the PicLan Terminal Emulator
TELNET functions in conjunction with PicLan-IP inbound TELNET services.
Pricing
Pricing for the PicLan Terminal Emulator has finally been set. The
pricing is a bit "non standard", so here goes.

Site License: One Company, multiple locations |

Support, which includes telephone support and upgrades is calculated in
the same manner as PicLan-IP support at 20%/year with the first three months

to offer dealer discounts of 20%
Evaluation Copies
The PicLan Terminal Emulator is "nagware". This means that the software
will complain that you have to license it if you do not enter an authorization
code, but is otherwise fully functional. You are licensed to download
and use the software for up to 15 days without charge for evaluation purposes.
Downloading the Software
You have two choices:
- You can download the latest PicLan client and just use the PLTW32 executable.
or ...
- You can download the latest seperate PicLan Terminal Emulator install. This
is somewhat smaller to download, but may be several build behind in terms
of release level.
